Easter decoration

paas

paasfees1

Easter Joy Jesus came to earth,
To show us how to live,
How to put others first,
How to love and how to give. Then He set about His work,
That God sent Him to do;
He took our punishment on Himself;
He made us clean and new. He could have saved Himself,
Calling angels from above,
But He chose to pay our price for sin;
He paid it out of love. Our Lord died on Good Friday,
But the cross did not destroy
His resurrection on Easter morn
That fills our hearts with joy. Now we know our earthly death,
Like His, is just a rest.
We’ll be forever with Him
In heaven, where life is best. So we live our lives for Jesus,
Think of Him in all we do.
Thank you Savior; Thank you Lord.
Help us love like you!

Without Easter Without Easter,
there would be no hope of heaven.
Without the hope of heaven,
there would be no repentance,
no personal transformation,
no attempt to follow biblical principles.
Without Easter,
the world would be in chaos
and darkness.
Jesus’ death and resurrection
means we can be reborn,
to live better, to do better,
to shine light into the shadows.
Hallelujah!
Happy, Happy Easter.

If Not For Easter If not for Easter,
the chaos of this world
would be all there is
and all there ever would be.
If not for Easter,
the unfairness of life
would drive us to despair.
But God sent His Son
to give eternal life
filled with peace, happiness
and unimaginable blessings
to those who choose Him.
All we have to do is choose Him.
Happy, Happy Easter!

For Jesus – with love

I was busy, busy, busy -

making a video …..

I’m forgiven,
because You were forsaken,
I’m accepted, You were condemned,
and I’m alive and well your spirit is within me,
because You died and rose again.
(I’m forgiven)
I’m forgiven,
because You were forsaken,
and I’m accepted, You were condemned,
and I’m alive and well your spirit is within me,
because You died and rose again.

Amazing love,
how can it be,
that You my king would die for me?
Amazing love,
I know it’s true,
and it’s my joy to honor You.
(Amazing love)

Easter and my question/inner struggle? PG

7e07405d2bfb1813d767059fb6a40a71_we

“Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner and am sorry for all the wrongs that I have done. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me. I invite you, Jesus, to come into my heart and life as Lord and Savior. I commit and trust my life to you. Please give me the desire to be what you want me to be and to do what you want me to do. Thank you for dying for my sins, for your free pardon, for your gift of eternal life, and for hearing and answering my prayer. Forgive me all the questions and inner stuggle…..

Amen.”

Inviting Jesus into your heart and life as your personal Savior is your Passport into Heaven. Whatever, you do, don’t leave Earth without it!

Happy easter friends

My Question?

If God loves us,

why was it necessary for Jesus to

die so horribly on the cross?

If Easter is a celebration of life and God’s love towards us,

why is it associated with

such a terrible moment in history?

Yes I’m still struggling…..

Sorry, I’m not perfect!

Love

Karl Barth, famous though controversial, contemporary Swiss theologian, was a great thinker, a prolific writer, and a professor at several European universities.

On one occasion he was confronted by a reporter who wanted a brief summary of his twelve thick volumes on church dogmatics. Barth could have given an impressive intellectual reply, but didn’t. Quoting from the popular child’s hymn, he simply said,:

“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”

And there is no greater proof of this love than when Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gave his life for us.

It was Jesus who said, “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”1 His own love, however, went much further than this. He laid down his life for his enemies as well as his friends.

Footprints

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”1

Easter prayer

good1

Thank You, Lord,

for rising from the tomb

to live in our hearts.

May the innocence of each child remind us of the joy of sharing

Your love.

May the caroling of each bird remind us to sing

Your praises.

May the majesty of each sunrise remind us to shine in

Your light.

May the beauty of each flower remind us Jesus lives

and is Lord of Life.

And it’s good.

Thank you, Holy Father, for Easter,

for Jesus,

and for all

Your goodness.

Stay with us this happy day

and always.

In Jesus name, we thank You!

Amen.

Happy easter

Knowing Jesus…..

Nothing is more important. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord, ask God to speak to you as you read the following Scriptures:

bullet

Romans 3:23 — Everyone has sinned.

bullet

Romans 6:23 — Eternal life is a gift from God.

bullet

Romans 5:8 — Jesus died for you.

bullet

Romans 10:9-10 — Confess Jesus as your Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead.

bullet

Romans 10:13 — Ask God to save you.

To accept Jesus as your Savior you must:

bullet

Recognize that you are a sinner, that you do things you shouldn’t or don’t do things you should, and admit your need for a saving relationship with Jesus.

bullet

Be willing, with God’s help, to turn from your sins.

bullet

Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.

bullet

Through prayer, invite Jesus to come into your life as Savior and Lord.

Christmas gift ….

1_multipart

Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus,

the Christ, a baby boy born to a teenage girl who was still a virgin.

Jesus was born in a stable, among the animals,

yet angels proclaimed his birth.

To shepherds.

Wise men followed a star that marked the birth

and presented Jesus with precious gifts, to honor him.

A baby born to die.

At age 33, only days after some welcomed Jesus to Jerusalem,

others wanted him dead, though he was innocent of any crime.

He was nailed to a cross.

When he died at mid-afternoon, the skies turned dark.

There was an earthquake.

In the temple at Jerusalem,

the curtain covering the Holy of Holies,

the Presence of God, tore itself in half.

Three days later, Jesus’ tomb was empty.

His disciples and others saw him.

He spent time with them, ate with them, showing he was alive.

While talking to a lage crowd of people,

he rose up in the sky and disappeared into the clouds.

All for a reason.

The first man and woman, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God.

That was the first sin.

Ever since then, everyone sins.

We do what we know is wrong,

and don’t do what we know is right.

The penalty for sin is death.

The only sinless person who ever lived is Jesus.

Jesus is the Son of God.

Jesus had to die on the cross to win forgiveness for everyone who chooses to accept his gift.

Forgiveness of sin means eternal life with God

……. The real Christmas gift.

Pure in heart

cid_1c543bcd-fcd6-445b-8ea6-9295ed5f8354

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8).

“This verse means people that go all out, not halfway, will see God,” says Matthew, age 9. Yes, God wants total devotion from his people. Lukewarm Christians make Jesus nauseated to the point of vomiting. I’m not making this up. Take a look at Revelation 3:16.

Have you ever been in love and heard the words “I just want to be friends”? Remember that sick, sinking feeling? It’s better to know where you stand than to be offered a halfhearted relationship.

“If your heart is good and doesn’t think bad things, you shall see God,” says William, 10. “But you also have to believe in Jesus, for works cannot take you to heaven.” Yes, it’s bad thinking that gets us into trouble. It’s especially bad when you’re counting on good deeds as your ticket for entrance into heaven’s gates.

The religious leaders of Jesus’ day upheld a tradition of literally thousands of laws created as a fence around the law given to Moses on Mount Sinai. The idea is that you won’t steal a cookie if you can’t reach the cookie jar. This resulted in a religion of rituals.

Jesus challenged the prevailing religious thought and practice when he pronounced blessings on the “pure in heart.” In other words, cleanse the inner life, and the outer life will take care of itself. Or, as Augustine said, “Love and do what you will.”

“Purity is special to God,” says Anna, 9. “The pure are filled with joy.” Yes, purity is special to God because he himself is pure.

“Purity of heart is to will one thing,” said Soren Kierkegaard. God has never deviated from his purpose of bringing everything into conformity with his Son. The new world order began when Jesus left heaven and invaded planet Earth as a baby born in a manger.

The Apostle Paul presents Jesus as the new Adam, untainted by the fall of the first Adam. Purity of heart begins by becoming part of a new humanity, says Dave, 11: “It means that people who have accepted Christ and believed that he died on the cross and rose again will go to heaven when they die.”

As the firstborn from among the dead, Jesus opened heaven’s gates for all who trust in him. The pure one bore our impurities in his body when he hung on a cross.

“If you are pure in heart, you are blessed,” says Madison, 10. “Being blessed will help you see God.” When Moses asked to see God’s glory, the Lord said no man could see him and live. The contrast between God’s reply to Moses and Jesus’s promise to the pure in heart is startling.

Purity of heart is absolute in the sense that Christians are once and for all forgiven because they’ve received the life that comes from believing in Jesus as Savior. But it’s also relative in the sense of Christians needing to confess their sins to God to restore the closeness of fellowship that comes from being filled and led by the Spirit of God.

“The ones who are pure in heart will be rewarded,” says Nicole, 10. “They love God very much and study his word.”

Think about this: Allow the Lord to replace the confusion in your life with the joy that comes from purity of heart. Memorize this truth: Matthew 5:8 quoted above. Ask this question: Are you pure in heart or confused in the head?
